Sandra J. Polinski, 74 , of Ewing Township passed away suddenly,Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her home.
Born in Trenton, she was a life-long Trenton and Ewing Township resident. "Sandy" was the definition of "homemaker". She was the cornerstone of her family. Every day was an endless labor of love taking care of "family" as the C.E.O. in her journey on this earth. She enjoyed the time invested with the family's horses allowing for quality time at the boarding farm. She enjoyed taking the family camper on summer mini trips in the local area and daily car trips around NJ and PA with her family. Sandy was an old school bingo player, who also enjoyed the AC casinos and looked forward to family and friend card nights. She was obsessed with the "weather'; so when you needed to know if you needed a shovel, umbrella or extra time...no one turned on the weather channel, everyone tuned into Sandy. Holidays and Celebrations were always special because Sandy took charge. She was a true Ewingite, planting roots that remained as her home base. Her life was complete as she followed her dream of marrying her childhood sweetheart, having three daughters, and being blessed with two granddaughters. All were spoiled by her infectious love. Her theme of the day was all about quality of time with family and friends and making sure "everything" had a resolve. If anyone could mend, fix, cook, or create it, you levitated toward Sandy. Sandy was petite in stature ; but, her heart was massive. Anytime you just needed to talk, Sandy was the number you dialed.
Wife of the late Darwin Polinski, daughter of the late Henry C. & Margaret Stelle Pearson and her step-parents, Lester & Evelyn Stelle. She is survived by three daughters: Darlene M. and husband Marc Haggerty; of Falls Township, Pa; Dodie L. and husband Donald Burrell; of Burlington Township; and Wendy S. Some of my best childhood memories involve this amazing family. I remember anxiously awaiting the farm visits from the "apple gang!" To try and summarize the fun we had would be impossible in few words. How would I convey all of the summer evenings under the big tree out front, the makeshift picnics that just seemed to happen, the nights of hayrides after all day trailrides and the time just spent laughing at whatever came up. I remember the card games, friendly visits, birthday and holiday celebrations. Every memory includes Sandy taking charge. Whether it was set up or clean up, Sandy's sleeves were up and she was involved to make it happen. What a genuine, honest, generous and pure soul. This world lost one of the best! Rest in Peace, Sandy. Your work here is done. Please let the angels run things in heaven! This is your time to relax!
