PRINCETON - Frederick "Fred" "Hambone" Kelly, 88, of Princeton, departed this life on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Kelly was educated in the Trenton public schools. He retired from Lawrence Hose Company.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ethel and Alton Kelly, a brother, Edward Kelly, two sisters, Christine Kelly and Margaret Mingo, one niece, Stacey Mingo and one nephew, Ivy Mingo. Surviving are his daughter, Lida Goss; a granddaughter, Theresa Pittman (Richard); five great-grandchildren, Chastity, Jamal, Brittany, Michael and Alani; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley (Mary) and Paul Kelly; four nieces, Patricia Mingo, Sandra Baskin, Marcia and Juanita Kelly; one nephew, Derrick Kelly (Belinda); many cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton. Interment will be in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton. Calling hours will be Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the chapel.
