EWING - Marceline Oliver Yates departed on Feb. 16, 2013, at her home in the care of her loving family.
She was born in Princeton where she resided for more than 37 years before moving to Ewing Township where she lived until the time of her death. Marceline received her education from the Princeton public schools district. She graduated from the New York Business School with a diploma in the executive secretarial course. Marceline was employed by Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, N.Y., in the charge promotion office. After returning to Princeton, she was employed as assistant to the director of the research division at Educational Testing Service, where she retired after 44 years of service.
Wife of the late Ronald M. Yates Sr., Marceline was also predeceased by her parents, William and Esther Oliver, a brother, William (Sonny) Oliver and a sister, Barbara Oliver Williams. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonna (Walter) Freeman, India (Richard) Singleton, stepson, Ronald Yates, Jr., a godchild, Sabrina (Cheeky) Williams, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three nieces and three nephews and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 20) at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Princeton Cemetery.

Marcy was truly a joy to be around, so full of hope and good cheer. She loved life and ballet and I always remember her joy in taking ballet classes. God Bless Marcy
