Glover Sr., Frederick L.* - Trenton  
TRENTON > > Professor Frederick L. Glover Sr. age 94, was born in Trenton and passed away May 20, 2015. Professor Glover's education began at the Lincoln School, continued at Trenton Central High School, and was completed at the BOK Voc-Tech School in Philadelphia, PA. He worked for the Trenton Board of Education and the Fort Dix/McGuire Military Installation for many years, where he performed piano tuning and repair services. The professor owned and operated the City's first Black gospel record shop and music supply store, which eventually, according to the needs of the community, became a Variety store on North Willow Street for over 30 years, most would remember that this was the place to get the best "penny candy." He has been a member of Galilee Baptist Church for over 80 years and a force behind the Music Ministry for almost as many, having played, directed and sang for many of the choirs. Son of the late John C. Glover and Mary Campbell Glover, brother of the late Clinton, James, Charles, and Joseph "Henry" Glover, and father of the late Leroy E. Glover. Professor's legacy and loving memory will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife of 72 years Eunice Rudd Glover; sons Alfred, James "Mack" (Cynthia), and Fred Jr. (Kim); daughters Frieda Glover-Patten, Eunice Glover-Adams, and Faye Lynn Glover; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; step-sister Julie Ann Hutchins; four sisters-in-law Catherine Glover, Edna Glover, Margaret Phillips, and Mary R. Lemons (James); special nephew Carlton "Smoke" Sumners; a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Galilee Baptist Church, 440 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment Greenwood Cemetery Hamilton, NJ. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.

Gore, Rebecca* - Trenton  
Rebecca Gore TRENTON - Rebecca Gore age 71 passed away May 20, 2015 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Born in Charlestown, West Virginia, Rebecca later moved to Washington, D.C. in 1949 where she attended Shaw High School, finally settling many years later in Trenton, NJ. She was employed by Rick Bus. Co. and was a Certified Home Health Aide. Rebecca was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and member of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Mary-Louise Robinson, and Mr. William Robinson, a former husband, Mr. Leroy Washington, a brother, Mr. Charles Robinson, and a sister, Ms. Charlotte Andrews. She is survived by three sisters, Ms. Sheila Groves, Ms. Betty Jackson, Cecilia D’Rodolfo, a brother, Anthony Pearson, six children, Leroy Washington, Lorenzo Washington, Yurell Washington, Yolanda Washington, Damon Washington, Dionne Washington, a host of nieces and nephews, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11am Fri May 29, 2015 at Wayne Avenue Baptist Church 30 Wayne Ave. Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 10am until time of service at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.

Goss, Barry Nelson* - Trenton  
Barry Nelson Goss, age 73, passed away at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis on May 17, 2015. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Barry was a lifelong resident. He was educated in the Trenton Public School System. Barry was employed at Lawrenceville Prep School and The College of New Jersey, formerly Trenton State College. He retired from Trane, formerly General Electric, after 35 years of service. He was a member of the 1960 USA National Team, USA Boxing Associations, and the 2005 NJ Boxing Hall of Fame. Barry enjoyed boxing, deep sea fishing and watching western movies. Predeceased in death by: his parents Jesse and Martha Goss, sisters Rosie and Regina Goss, twins Adrienne Moore and Arlene Saunders; brothers, Jesse Jr, Leroy, and George Goss Sr., and a special aunt Harriet Davis. Survivors include his four daughters, Bridget Goss-McLendon, Michelle Goss, Essie Cribb, (James Sr.) and Andrea Goss; one son, Jaron Bethea; eight grandchildren, Justin Goss, Tacara Hall, James Cribb Jr., Mia Cribb, Katelyn Rice, Malachi Bethea, Marilyn Bethea and Robert Bethea; one great grandchild, Cameron Goss; two brothers, Jan Goss and Samuel Goss (Sharon); one sister-in-law, Deborah Carter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; ex-wife, Rachel Goss- McGill, and a longtime companion, Bessie Bethea. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church, 111 Perry St., Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 8 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to: Goss & Goss Boxing Club, PO Box 2184, Trenton, NJ 08607.
