Schumm, Joyce "Joan"* - Bordentown  
Joyce "Joan" Schumm, 84, of Bordentown, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Capital Health Systems at Fuld in Trenton, with her family by her side. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Schumm moved to Irvington in 1964 and resided there for 8 years. She and her husband then moved to Mercerville until 2004. Their final move was to Florence, where they have lived for the past 11 years. Joan worked as a bus aide for autistic children in Mercerville for several years, as well as a school aide at University Heights Elementary School. She enjoyed needlepoint, reading, baking, ceramics and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be sadly missed. Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Gertrude (Sorensen) Weiss; Mrs. Schumm is survived by her husband of 64 years, William S. Schumm Jr.; her sons, William L. Schumm and wife, Lynn, of Bloomsbury and Timothy J. Schumm and fiancée, Kelly Emley of Florence; grandchildren, Stacie Behme and husband, Eugene III of Lopatcong, Kathryn Schumm of Bloomsbury, Elizabeth Schumm of Philadelphia, PA, Marc Schumm of Ewing and Rebecca Schumm of Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Eugene IV, Jack and Ryan Behme; sister, Carol Heinz and husband, Karl, of Mercerville as well as her nieces and nephews, Karl Heinz and wife, Michele, of Eastampton, Kenneth Heinz of Mercerville and Karen Loffredo and husband, Joseph, of Newtown, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Saint Gregory the Great RC Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Cremation will be private. Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Schumm's memory to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Donor Services, P.O. Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265-0309. SCIRGOVA, MARGARET WOOD* - Trenton  
Margaret (Peggy) Wood Scirgova HAMILTON - Margaret (Peggy) Wood Scirgova, 89, of Hamilton, entered into God’s Kingdom on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Compassionate Care Hospice in St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. Peggy was formally employed as a secretary at Roebling’s before becoming a fulltime homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and volunteered at RWJ Hospital @ Hamilton for 20 years. In her spare time Peggy was an avid reader, good cook, and a great fan of Jeopardy and General Hospital. Daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary Ellis Wood, wife of the late beloved Felix, mother of the late Jean Stillwell, and mother-in-law, of the late Bill Stillwell, sister of the late Bill Wood, Artie Wood, and Betty Thompson, she is survived by her son Raymond Scirgova, her daughter Marianne Funk; sister-in-law Linda Wood, 5 grandchildren, Carla Fletcher (Justin), Richard Funk, Angie Funk (Tim), Julie Stephenson (Eric), and Joseph Stillwell; 5 great granddaughters, Hailey Murphy, Sophia and Stella Kaplan, Briana and Caitlyn Fletcher; a step great grandson Jake McGlinchy; and 2 special friends, Marie Zier and Jackie Romanoski. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 East State Street Ext., Hamilton Township. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no calling hours or services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to forgottencats.org Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street in Hamilton.

Slovinsky, Arthur Raymond* - Dayton  
Arthur Raymond Slovinsky DAYTON - Arthur Raymond Slovinsky, 80, of Dayton died Monday, April 13, 2015 at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Arthur was born May 28, 1934 in Trenton. He graduated Princeton High School in 1953 and then served as Corporal in the Marine Corps during the Korean war. Arthur was a Machine Operator for 39 years with Okonite Cable Company of North Brunswick. He was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church since 1962 and was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 7046, a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post # 3022, and the American Legion Post # 401. He is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Dorothy Amey Slovinsky, his wife Maryann Slovinsky. He is survived by 2 sons Arthur and Joseph Slovinsky, 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law Kathleen Slovinsky, Joanne and David Korz, Karen and Michael Piazza, and Marie and David Sorrell, a brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Mary Slovinsky, a sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and John Schementi., 9 grandchildren Richard, Raymond, Oscar and wife Wendy, Kristen, Amanda, Michael, Victoria, Brian and wife Emely, and David, 2 great grandchildren Breanna and Alexcea. The funeral will be held 9:00 am on Saturday, April 18 at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Rd. at New Rd. Monmouth Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am at St. Cecilia’s Church, 10 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction. Entombment will be in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Calling hours will be Friday, April 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
