Vaughan, Beulah M. Thomas* - Wytheville  
Beulah M, Thomas Vaughan WYTHEVILLE, VA - Beulah M. Thomas Vaughan 91 of Wytheville, VA passed away on May 20th after a long illness. Born in Trenton October 17, 1924, Mrs. Vaughan attended the Trenton public schools. She was married in Trenton in 1943 to the late Vernal A. Vaughan, also of Trenton over 66 years before his death in 2008. They resided in Trenton, Morrisville, PA and Mt Holly, New Jersey prior to settling in Wytheville over 20 years ago. Mrs. Vaughan was preceded in death by her parents Annie L. Thomas and George Thomas Sr., her husband Vernal A. Vaughan Sr., two sons, Bruce A. Vaughan, Sr., and Craig S. Vaughan Sr., and three siblings, Edith Thomas Dent, George Thomas Jr. and Elsie L. Thomas Glover. She is survived by her son, Vernal A Vaughan, Jr., of Trenton, eight grandchildren Bruce A. Vaughan Jr., Ingrid Vaughan, Denise Vaughan of Trenton, Keisha Vaughan Glasper (Louis) of Hainesport, NJ, Craig S. Vaughan , Jr. of Mt Holly, NJ, Keith Vaughan of Browns Mills, NJ, John Vaughan (Bernadette) of Jacksonville, FL, and Michelle Vaughan Scott (Michael) of Jamesburg, NJ, three sisters, Deloris Thomas Tindall and Lillian Thomas Henderson of Trenton, and Hilda Thomas Teel (Oscar) of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Vaughan was a very a talented, artistic, and creative lady. She made figurines and other decorative pieces in her kiln, she knitted and cross stitched, she painted furniture, her house, and even painted a car. She had a unique eye for seeing how to make something that appeared to the average eye as nothing, and making something useful and beautiful. Her creations can be found in the homes of her family and many friends, leaving lasting memories of her love for them. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall for Jehovah’s Witnesses, 250 Grayson Rd., Wytheville, VA on Sunday, May 29th at 2:00 PM.

Vaughn, Melvin S.* - Ewing  
Melvin S. Vaughn EWING - Melvin S. Vaughn, 90 of Ewing Twp., passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Atrium in Lawrenceville. Born in Yardley, PA he was a longtime Ewing area resident. A US Army veteran, Mel was a hard worker and loved his job as a wireman for RCA and later General Electric. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars and fixing lawnmowers. Mel also loved to reminisce and share his memories of the full and happy life he lived. Son of the late Edward and Helen Vaughn, he was predeceased by his former wife, Alice S. Vaughn. Melvin is survived by his son, Brian M. Vaughn; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Jean V. Smith, Marie V. and Granville Mayo and Doris V. Beverly; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mary Vaughn as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 1pm on Saturday, June 4th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Interment will follow in Ewing Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
