Albert E. Wright

LONG BEACH ISLAND - Albert E. Wright, 92, of Long Beach Island, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the home of his daughter in Ewing Township.
Born in Hamilton Township, and graduating from Hamilton High School, class of 1938, he was a longtime area resident before moving to Long Beach Island in 1993.
Albert was a U.S. Army veteran who transferred to the U.S. Air Force at the start of World War II; he was stationed with the 8th Air Force in England during the war. Albert retired from Western Electric in 1983 after 36 years of service. Albert was a member of the Broad Street Methodist Church. He also was a volunteer at the Rusling Hose Fire Company, a member of the Trenton Masonic Lodge, VFW Post 313, and High Point Volunteer Fire Company where he was a member of the activity committee. Albert was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed feeding his ducks every day.
Son of the late Earl and Katherine Schon Wright, brother of the late Ruth Cunningham, he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Clotilda Huber Wright; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bruce Scully; two step grandchildren, Lisa and Cassie Scully; one great-grandchild, Addison Scully; his niece, Pam Conk and her husband Gary; and several cousins.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday (Feb. 16) at the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad St., Hamilton. Services will be held at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
