Alice Posluszny McNamara

Alice Poluszny TRENTON - Alice Posluszny McNamara, 85, died on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at St Joseph's Nursing Center at Morris Hall, Lawrenceville, NJ. Born in Trenton, Alice started her banking career at the age of 17, at what was then Security National Bank. As head teller and then branch manager of branches: Brunswick and Olden, Lawrenceville, West State Street and Chambers Street, Alice worked through many transitions of the bank which is now known as Wells Fargo. During her career, she was active in the American Institute of Banking. She was a member of St Gregory the Great Parish in Hamilton Square and former member of Incarnation Parish in Ewing where she was active in Parish Life and Renew. Alice was the epitome of a Renaissance woman, with a demanding career and busy home life. She had a hand in raising all of her grandchildren and was a force in her great grandchildren's lives. She did all of this with love and patience, with the advice that "this too shall pass", letting us know that we would be strong enough to overcome whatever we faced. To the staff of St Mary's Assisted Living and especially the staff of St Joseph's Nursing Home, you treated our mother as your own. Our words of thanks can never be enough, we are forever grateful. Predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Posluszny, her loving husband, John J. McNamara, brothers, John "Bookie" Posluszny and Robert Post, sister-in-law, Margaret Posluszny, brothers-in-law, Richard Kinney and Walter Rusecky; she is survived by her daughters; MaryAlice (Walter) Kowal, Kathleen (Stephen) Dull, Susan (Michael) Commini, Deirdre McNamara, and Elizabeth (Robert) Burby; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Hunter, Timothy (Kathleen) McNamara, Olivia Commini, Caitlin Bartram, Richard and Andrew Burby; her great-grandchildren, RyanSara, Lindsay, Timothy, and Kaylee; her sisters, Irene Kinney, Alma Rusecky; her brother, Daniel (Rosalie) Posluszny; her sister-in-law, Geraldine Post; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
