TRENTON - Alton L. "A.J" Jones, age 48, passed away Feb. 27, 2013. Born in Trenton he was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School and was currently attending Mercer County Community College. He was employed by National Waste Management. Mr. Jones attended Shiloh Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal father, Lorenzo Jones, father-in-law, Robert Brooks and mother-in-law, Marie Brooks. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Mary Jones, four sons, Leroy, Maurice, Marquise and Alton Jr., four daughters, Larhonda, Shaiquana, Ashely and Amber, his mother, Betty Jones, great-grandmother, Ellen Beatrice Jones, five sisters, Beatrice, Marie, Myrtle, Latray and Latrease, five brothers, Zedebee "B-Bop," Markie, Petey, Courtney, Curtis and Cameron, four aunts, Lottie Furegon, Starling Jones, Margaret Holloway and Florence Marlen, two sisters-in-law, Sharon Law (Richard) and Deloris Brooks, two brothers-in-law, Charlie Brooks and Robert Brooks (Blanca), nine grandchildren, Ashton, Deshawn, Mar'John, Cashmere, Javian, Ny'Lia, Marsir and Dior, a host of nieces, nephews, three special friends, David Clark, Tommy Biesecker and Kideo.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday (Mar. 5) at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 340 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Way, Trenton. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
