Amy M. Piljar

HAMILTON - Amy M. Piljar, 44, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family after a four month painful battle with metastasized breast cancer.
Born in Trenton, Amy was a lifelong area resident. She worked for New Jersey Hospital Association for 18 years as an accountant in the receivables department and was recently promoted to account receivables supervisor. Amy was an avid Giants and Yankees fan, loved to read and enjoyed taking vacations especially at the beach.
Predeceased by her father, Joseph M. Piljar, she is survived by her partner of 15 years, M. L. Palumbo; her mother, Linda M. Piljar-Briel and her husband, Robert C. Briel of the Villages, Fla.; her beloved Yorkies, Peg and Blaise; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and ex-husband, Michael Pabian.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, at 9:30 a.m., at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, April 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. p.m. and on Tuesday, April 23, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at the Saul Colonial Home.
