Carole Mershon Esposito, passed away on December 13, 2012 after a courageous battle with leukemia, surrounded by her loving family, at Robert Wood Johnson Cancer Institute in New Brunswick.
Born in Princeton on November 11, 1942, Carole was 70 years old. A native Princetonian, until moving to Mercerville in 1985, Carole graduated from Princeton High School and the Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture in Lawrenceville. As a beautician, she worked for several salons in Princeton. She recently retired from the Princeton Regional School System at Riverside School after 28 years as a teacher's aide.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her husband of 44 years; James A. Esposito; of Mercerville, a daughter and son-in-law; Kimberly and Harry Schulz; of Mercerville, a son and daughter-in-law; Keith and Victoria Esposito; of Robbinsville, a sister and brother-in-law; Arlene and Andrew Hutnik; of Jonesport, Maine, four grandchildren; Anthony Petro and Allison Schulz; of Mercerville, Luke and Ava Esposito; of Robbinsville, two nieces; Andrea Hutnik; of Warwick, Rhode Island and Amy Hutnik; of Milbridge, Maine, a great-niece; Emily Niewiecki; of Warwick, RI, several aunts, cousins and many, many devoted friends.
Carole was pre-deceased by her parents, Herbert W. Mershon and Evelyn W. McKee, and step father Nathaniel J. McKee.
Calling hours will be held Sunday (Dec. 16) from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 8 p.m. at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.
