Charlotte Amanda Miller Lawlor

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M - Charlotte Amanda Miller Lawlor was born on Sept. 8, 1921 in Trenton, N.J., and joined her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the age of 91.
She passed away as she lived, on her own terms, in her own home, and with her family at her side.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Lawlor and wife Rosaria of Lambertville, N.J., Alyce and husband Jack Uveges of Sun City West, Ariz., Madeline and husband Fred Camp of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Patti Hyde Adair and husband Wayne Adair of Albuquerque, N.M., Patrick T. Lawlor of Hamilton, N.J. and Dennis Lawlor and wife Debi of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; her grandchildren, Ann Marie and husband Mark Adamko, Lisa Lawlor, Richard Lawlor, Robert Lawlor, Barbara Read, Linda and husband Eric Sweeney of Arizona, Joseph Marchetti III and wife Karen of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Brian Marchetti, John Marchetti, Shelly Marchetti, Chuck Hyde and wife Melissa of Phoenix, Ariz., Robert A. Hyde, Esq. and wife Angela of Phoenix, Ariz., Ryan Lawlor of New Jersey, Dennis Lawlor II of California and Peter Mattis of Pennsylvania, and step-granddaughter, Jana Yoder along with her daughters, Rachel and Emily of Colorado; great-grandchildren include Carmina, Mark, Nico, Erin, Adam, Marc, Beau, Joseph IV, Joshua, Kyle, Ashleigh, Gabriel and Kaila. She is also survived by her siblings, Merry Carol D'Amico of Ewing Township, N.J., William Miller of Levittown, Pa., Patricia and husband Mark Healy of Florida, Jim Miller and wife Cordelia of Eminence, Ky.; sisters-in-law, Joan Miller of Penndel, Pa. and Joan Miller of Lawrenceville, N.J.; plus many, many nieces and nephews and extended family, as well as many dear friends who have been faithful loving friends throughout her many years of a fulfilled life.
She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Amanda Bates Miller who passed away on Sept. 21, 1921, her parents, Charles and Madeline Ashton Miller, her husband, Aloysius (Wishie) Lawlor, her son, Robert A. Lawlor, her siblings, Margaret Hewitt, Betty Harris, Charles (Red) Miller and Forrest (Foddy) Miller.
Although Charlotte has been a resident of Albuquerque for the past 30 plus years, she was born and lived over 60 years in the various neighborhoods in and around Trenton, Lambertville and Hopewell, N.J. Charlotte was a 54-year-member of The Catholic Daughters of The Americas, Court Santa Maria No. 317 in Albuquerque, preceded by Court Columbus No. 50 in Trenton, N.J. Charlotte was a faithful volunteer at Casa Angelica Auxiliary, The Assistance League of Albuquerque, The Good Shepherd Center Auxiliary, formerly the St. Joseph's Health Care Center Auxiliary (9000 plus volunteer hours) and a member of The Altar Rosary Society at The Shrine of St. Bernadette's.
She was a graduate of Hixson School of Floral Design in Cleveland, Ohio, and taught many classes in arts and crafts throughout the years, including Albuquerque Newcomers Club and the Encore Club.
Although Charlotte was a person of lesser means, she was always concerned about the welfare of others, and never hesitated to share with those that were less fortunate. She also contributed of her time and talents to many missions, missionaries and charitable organizations throughout the state, the country and the world. Because of her humility toward humanity, she always remained a face in the crowd that worked behind the scenes to better the world for others.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday with services during this time, and also Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Hartmann Memorial Home, 2830 Nottingham Way, Hamilton, N.J. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery where she will join her husband and her son Robert who passed before her.
