TRENTON - Clinton Cosmo West, age 55, of Trenton, departed this life quietly at Compassionate Care Hospice St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, on March 6, 2013.
He was educated in the Bordentown school system. Clinton wanted to serve his country; directly after graduation he joined the United States Army
and after being honorably discharged, he further served by joining the United States Navy
. Because of his love of the sea, after completing his tours, Clinton found work on the cargo ships in the Johnstown, Pa. area.
Clinton was predeceased by his mother Alice H. West, his father, William "Sonny" Howard, his paternal grandparents, Lillie Bell and Robert Howard, his maternal grandparents, William C. West and Blanche West-Morris.
Clinton's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his wife of 20 years, Robin; four sons, Nakwon (Tiffany) Harris, Keith West, Eijuan Harris and Michael West; three daughters, Cattina Rock, Toya West and Sabrina West; three stepchildren, Tasha and Tonya Leverett, and Talia Conover; his eight sisters, Treena West, Medina Howard, Tynnetta Howard, Maxine Howard, Annette Howard, Geraldine Howard, Louise Watts and Joanne "Pearlie" Fitchett; five brothers, Darick West, Timothy Howard, Darryl Hayes, Jamil Howard and Ronald Howard; three aunts, Rosella Goodson, Annetta Allen and Rebecca West; 14 grandchildren; four very dear friends, Marvin Donaldson, Keith Curry, Rostine Coleman and Kevin Ganges; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 104½ Elizabeth St., Bordentown. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
