Dolores DeSanto

BURLINGTON - Dolores DeSanto, 83, of Burlington, passed away on Thursday at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident, residing in Burlington County, Springfield Township, for the past 37 years. Dolores had a passion for animals, loving and caring for all kinds, and in return they loved her also. In her spare time she enjoyed writing poetry and short stories, and reading, most of all she enjoyed happy times with her family.
Daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte McDonough Kirkland, sister of the late Charlotte Garey, stepmother of the late Tracy DeSanto, she is survived by her loving husband, Jerry DeSanto, Sr.; two sons, Crescenzio Damiano, Salvatore Damiano and his wife Janice, three daughters, Cindy Letts, Donna Cortina and Sherri Damiano, all of Hamilton Township; one stepson, Jerry DeSanto, Jr., and one stepdaughter, Tanya DeSanto of Vancouver, Canada; one brother, Charles Kirkland of Hamilton, and one sister, Dorothy Cooper of Florida; 11 grandchildren, 2 step- grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad St., Hamilton. Funeral services will be held noon at the memorial home. Burial will follow in Colonial Memorial Park.
