Dominick Arruzzo Sr.

EWING - Dominick Arruzzo, Sr., 90, of Ewing, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton with his loving family by his side.
Born in Lattimer Mines, Pa., Mr. Arruzzo had resided in the Ewing area for the past 65 years. He was a U.S. Army AirForce veteran who served during World War II. He was stationed in both Burma and China, where he served on the ground crew for the Flying Tigers. Dominick was both a butcher and a steel worker who was formerly employed at U.S. Steel in Fairless Hills, Pa. He was a former member of the Ewing Township Club D, a parishioner of Incarnation Church for over 60 years and a member of its Senior Citizens Club. He loved the Philadelphia Phillies, watching old western movies, and playing his daily lottery numbers. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who loved nothing more than being grandpop to his three beloved grandchildren.
Son of the late Rocco and Anna (Rich) Arruzzo, beloved husband of the late Antonette (Yelo) Arruzzo, brother of the late Catherine Lettiere, James, Leonard, Frederick, Maurice and Carmen Arruzzo, he is survived by his son, Dominick Jr. and his wife Terri; his three loving grandchildren, Kristi and her husband Ryan Sherwood, Kelli Arruzzo, and Kevin Arruzzo; a brother, Rocco Arruzzo; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Frank Bigelli; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday (Feb. 18) at Incarnation Church, 1545 Pennington Ave., Ewing. Calling hours will be private. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Corridor of St. Francis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dominick's memory to Incarnation-St. James Parish, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08618.
