Doris T. Delaney BORDENTOWN - Doris T. Delaney, 84, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born and raised in Bordentown, she was a graduate of William McFarland High School, and was a resident of the area most of her life. Doris retired as a Supervisor for Traffic Safety, after working for more than 35 years for the State of New Jersey. She was a member of St. Mary's Church of Bordentown, where she was a past member of its Altar Rosary Society and St. Catharine Church of Seaside Park. She was a member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge
#2085 Ladies Auxiliary, the Democratic Club and the Bordentown Historical Society. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas J. and Mary A. Tyrell; three brothers, Thomas E., John J. and Martin J.; three sisters, Rosemary, Clare M. and Janet M.; and wife of the late, Joseph Delaney. Doris is survived by her brother, Michael S. and Beverley K. Tyrell of Hamilton; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and many dear friends. She was generous and kind to everyone, especially her family, and was known as Aunt Doris to all. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 12 noon Wednesday, September 11 at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday morning 9 to 11:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown.
