TRENTON - Edward "Scrappy" Brown, 70, of Trenton, departed this life on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Kennedy Health Systems, Turnersville.
Born in Klotzville, La., Edward was a longtime Trenton resident. He was formerly employed by Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, Donnelly Hospital and All Clean.
He was predeceased by his parents, Famous, Sr. and Gavida Brown, 10 siblings, Melvin, Dave, Alvin, Famous, Jr., Leola, Rubie, Cora Lee, Hilda, Sarah and Hellen, and one goddaughter, Sharmaine Fair.
Surviving are his devoted wife of 47 years, Eldora; three children, Michelle Brown Barnes, Jenell Brown Scott (Kevin) and Gaynell Smalls (Clarence); 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren all of Trenton; four sisters, Anna LeBlanc, Velma, Ida Lee, Dorita; three brothers, Johnson (Edna Mae), George (Linda) and Henry (Rosetta) Brown, all of Louisiana; longtime special friends, James and Elizabeth Fulmore; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 111 Perry St., Trenton, NJ 08618. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery, Ewing. Viewing hours will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
