Elizabeth H. Stanfield, 71, of Florence passed away Monday May 6, 2013 at Lawrenceville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lawrenceville.
Born in Trenton, she was a longtime resident until moving to Florence. Mrs. Stanfield was a clerk with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2009 after a 25 year career. She graduated from the NJ School for the Deaf in 1959 and was active in the Trenton Silent Club. Liz loved cats and Betty Boop. She enjoyed bowling, crafts and malls.
Daughter of the late Harold and Hilda McLaughlin, wife of the late James C. Stanfield, Jr., mother of the late Anthony F. Sisbarro, twin-sister of the late James J. McLaughlin, Sr., aunt of the late Kelly Rauch and Barbara Bauer, she is survived by a nephew; James J. McLaughlin, Jr.; grand nieces and nephews; Madison Rauch; Courtney Rauch; Ashley Bauer; Ryan McLaughlin and Cory McLaughlin; her godson; Philip DiMaio; and her friend and caretaker; Loraine Kegerreis.
The viewing will be Monday (May 13) from 2-5 p.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave. A catholic funeral service will begin at 5 p.m. Interment in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover will be private. For additional information, please visit www.murphyfh.com.
