TRENTON - Ella "Honey" Bryant Holloway, 87, of Trenton departed this life on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Perry, Ga., Mrs. Holloway was a resident of Trenton for most of her life. She was a 1945 graduate of Trenton Central High School. She was an avid swimmer and champion diver. She was formerly employed as a cashier for Atlantic Mills and retired from the State of New Jersey Civil Service Dept as an exam giver.
She attended Union Baptist Church.
Predeceased by her husband, Clifford Holloway, her parents, Charles and Margaret O'Neil Bryant; a sister, Ruth Holloway; brothers, Charles, Johnnie, Miller and Jack Bryant surviving are three daughters, Jan and Rena Holloway, Patti (Horatio) Judie all of Trenton; three sons, Clifford (Debbie) Holloway of Topeka, KS, Tyree and Darryl Holloway of Trenton; a brother, Kenneth Bryant; two brothers-in-law, Ernest Holloway and Charles Jones of Trenton, five grandchildren, Tyshia Camp, Clifford Yancey, Tyree, Akila and Twana Holloway; six great-grandchildren; two adopted sons, Jimmer McCloskey and Jimmy Miles; adopted daughters, Ethel Powell, Linda Rogers, Michele Jenkins and Roseanna McCauley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and best friends, Aunt Carmelita Reed of NYC, N.Y. and Aunt Julie Roberts of Trenton and her daughters Irene and Catherine.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton.
Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the chapel.
