Elsy Paulina Muniz

HAMILTON - Elsy Paulina Muniz, 73, of Hamilton, was accepted into God's loving embrace on March 27, 2013.
Elsy was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Ciales, Puerto Rico, to the now late Pablo and Mariana Ayala. Her family and friends were her passion. She left a legacy with her love and motherly qualities. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and serving others. An elegant woman Elsy enjoyed sewing and creating beautiful works of art. Her ability to design original decorations, and unique designs left many in awe. She was a dedicated member of Living by Grace Fellowship where she taught Sunday school.
In 1969 Elsy married the love of her life, William Muniz, together they raised six beautiful children, Elizabeth Melendez, Thomas G. Ocasio, Elsie A. Miranda, Lissette Vazquez, Leslie A. Repollet and Ivelisse D'Amelio. She is also a grandmother to Yamei Jordan, Navia Melendez, Michael Melendez, Daniel Reynolds, Nicolo Miranda, Francesca Vazquez, Jose Vazquez, Jr. Giovanna Vazquez, Victoria Repollet, Tatianna Repollet, Paulina Repollet, Jayme-Lee Repollet, Gino D'Amelio, Jr. Paolo D'Amelio, Lorenzo D'Amelio and Sophia D'Amelio; and also survived by eight great-grandchildren. A woman of excellence and integrity, Elsie left an imprint on her sons-in-laws, Robert Miranda, Jose Vazquez, Jaime Repollet, and Gino D'Amelio. She is also survived by several siblings, Gloria Rivera, Rosalina Vega, Carmen Hernandez, Celimar Ayala, Maritza Santiago, Mariana Rivera, Angel L. Ayala, Aida Villanueva, Jose Ayala and Angel R. Ayala. Elsy was greatly loved by her many nieces and nephews.
A final farewell will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at Living By Grace Fellowship, 1331 Chambers St., Trenton, NJ 08610, with the Rev. Barry Vazquez officiating. Visiting hours will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the church and a service will begin at 6 p.m. during the visiting hours.
The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Elsy's honor to the Living By Grace Fellowship. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the care and coordination of David C. Chiacchio and staff of the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, Trenton.
