Flora B. Mallette LAWRENCEVILL - Flora B. Mallette, 78, of Lawrenceville, passed away on September 21, 2013 at her home. Born in Aberdeen, NC, Flora received her early education in NC. She later moved to the Trenton area and graduated from Trenton Central High School. Flora worked for Blake Laundry, Parachute Co., Trenton Magic Marker, Eggerts Crossing Inn, and the New Jersey Department of Human Service. In 2011, she retired from the NJ Dept. of Labor after 15 years of service as a senior clerk. Flora was a former member of Friendship Baptist Church. When she fell ill, she was attending New Salem Baptist Church. Predeceased by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ollie and Tinnie Brown; her second husband, Robert W. Mallette, Jr.; three brothers, Roosevelt Swan, Samuel and James Brown; three sisters, Ollie Mae Brown, Betty Middelton, and Frances L. Lane; and close friend, John L. Vick. Flora is survived by two sons, Raymond J. Lindsey, Jr. (Carol) of Trenton and Molyneux M. Mallette (Charlene) of Durham, NC; four daughters, Arlene F. Joyner of Baltimore, MD, Darlene Lindsey of West Windsor, NJ, Estella C. Johnson (Charles, Sr.) of Trenton, and Flora M. Vick (Teo Griffin) of Baltimore, MD; her first husband, Raymond J. Lindsey, Sr.; 20 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; three step children; six step-grandchildren; 12 foster grandchildren; nine foster great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Lee Brown; one sister, Barbara Ragland both of Trenton; one uncle, James Swan of NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be Friday at 1pm at New Salem Baptist Church, 316 Union Street, Trenton, NJ. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
