George M. Bade

George M. Bade, Sr. HAMILTON - George M. Bade, Sr., 89, of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at home. Born in Trenton, George was a lifelong area resident. He served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Francis M. Robinson as a Gunner's Mate 2C. He received a Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and 4 American Theater stars. George retired from Heat and Frost Insulators and was a member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Local 89. He was an active member of the Colonial Volunteer Fire Company since 1949, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed watching NASCAR and driving cross country, having visited Alaska, Montana and California. Predeceased by his parents, George and Pauline (Baumgartner) Bade; his wives, Josephine Bade and Rose Bade; and his sisters and brothers, Alice, Norman, Madeline, and Raymond; he is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, George and Michele Bade of Eastampton and Paul and Nong Bade of Florence; his grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Nicholas; his sister-in-law, Donna Bade and his several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 11:30 a.m., at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton. Family and friends may call on Monday, November 18, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Saul Colonial Home.
