LAWRENCE - Harold C. Thompson, 71, of Lawrenceville, passed away at home on Friday surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident and had resided in Lawrenceville for the past eight years. He retired after 36 years of service for the Lawrence Township Department of Public Works as a supervisor. He was an active supporter of the American Legion Post 458 of Lawrenceville.
Son of the late Stanley and Stephanie Janowski Thompson, brother of the late Stanley Thompson and Betty Mae Helbe, his faithful K-9 companion of 12 years, "Jeffrey." He is survived by his beloved companion of 14 years, Ida Bryant, a daughter, Kelley Thompson and his grandson Jake Talan Trembula, both of Hamilton, his goddaughter, Emanielle K. Donkor, eight brothers and sisters, Elaine Davison, Constance Rutherford, Marilyn McBride, Delores Thompson, Barbara Marfino, James Thompson, Ronald Thompson and his wife Patty, Walter Thompson and his wife Janet and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 S. Broad St., Hamilton. Funeral services and burial will be private.
