LEVITTOWN, Pa. - Harry J. Burroughs Jr., a resident of Levittown, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the age of 69. He was the beloved husband of Alice Tomlinson Burroughs, to whom he was married for 47 years.
Born in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of the late Harry J. Sr. and Grace Burroughs.
Harry was a member of the first graduating class of Notre Dame High School, Lawrenceville, N.J., class of 1961. He was employed at Heath Lumber Co. in Trenton for 31 years, past president of Bishop Eagan Fathers Club, a member of Neshaminy United Methodist Church where he was a Trustee and a member of the Falls Township Senior Center.
In addition to his wife, Harry is also survived by three children, Scott and his fiancée, Doreen Michaels, Holly (Ronald) Leber and Shawn (Susan); four grandchildren, Ryan Herzog, Fred Glasgow Jr., Harley and Troy Burroughs; a sister, Rosemary Cunningham; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Harry's Life Celebration Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m at Neshaminy United Methodist Church, 325 Main St., Hulmeville, PA 19047, where his memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Harry's name to the above named church.
