Hyacinth "Gloria" Joseph

Hyacinth "Gloria" Joseph, 84, passed away peacefully into God's loving embrace on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Born in Guyana, South America on April 21, 1928, she immigrated to the United States more than 40 years ago. She lived in Brooklyn, NY for many years before moving to the Trenton area in the early 80's. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a home health aide for Mercer Street Friends Center. Mrs. Gloria loved shopping, traveling, and enjoyed her leisure walks around the neighborhood.
Mrs. Joseph is predeceased by her parents Effie Johnson and Carl Cornette, her loving husband, Leonard Joseph, brothers, Vincent Hall and Carl Johnson, Jr. Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her sister; Angela Holder; brother-in-law ;Billy and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Monday (Feb. 25) at 11 a.m. at the Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad Street (Rte 206), Trenton, NJ 08611 (parking facilities and handicap access located directly behind the funeral home). Rev. Morris Bender of the Life Gate Christian Assembly, 901 S. Clinton Avenue, Trenton will be officiating the services. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held Monday morning from 9–11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment; Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton Township 08619. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Hyacinth "Gloria" Joseph's honor to St. Francis Life Center 1435 Liberty Street, Trenton NJ 08611. Arrangemen ts have been entrusted by the family to the care and coordination of David C. Chiacchio and staff.
