J. C. Hobbs

TRENTON - J.C. Hobbs, 79, of Trenton, died Sunday at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.
Born in Mt. Olive, N.C., Mr. Hobbs was resident of New Jersey for most of his life. He received his education in Popular Grove, N.C. He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran. He was formerly employed by America Biltrite Rubber Company for many years. He was the owner of Jay and Son Floor Waxing for more than 30 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Turner and Ora Hobbs, a daughter, Debra Hobbs, a grandson, Jay Carlton Hobbs, II and a sister, Ora J. Truzy. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Faison Hobbs; two sons, Jay Carlton Hobbs and Lyron Justin Robinson; two grandchildren, Lyron Justin Robinson, II and Ora Justine Robinson; one great- granddaughter, Bless Correia; one brother, Weldon T. Hobbs (Edna); two aunts, Elizabeth McClaim and Lubert Blue, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday (Mar. 2) at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton.
Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
