Joan Moonan-Hackman

LOWER MAKEFIELD, Pa. - Joan Moonan-Hackman died May 11, 2013, at Spring Village at Floral Vale Assisted Living in Lower Makefield.
Born and raised in Trenton N.J., she was the daughter of Anne and Joseph Culliton.
Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Robert J. Moonan, who passed away in 1991. Her second husband, James Hackman, who passed away in 2010 after 13 years of a loving marriage to Joan.
She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Robert Moonan (Mary Jane), Coleen Moonan-Grogan (John), Thomas Moonan (Anne), Timothy Moonan (Nance), Elizabeth Anne Schachner (Steve), Michael Moonan (Susan), Matthew Moonan (Jacqueline); 21 grandchildren Megan (Seth) and Kaitlin; Sean, Brendan, Ryan, and Seamus; Kevin, Deidre, Brian, Ellie; Timothy Jr, Jillian and Victoria, Shaun and Kyle; Lindsey, Lauren, Bridget, and Michael; Nicole and Danielle and one great- grandchild, Logan.
Joan's entire life was devoted to her family. Her favorite pastime was spending time at the shore with family and friends. Joan served as Chairman of The Hibbert Group from 1991 until 1998 and was a lifelong supporter of St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. She was also a founding member of St. John the Evangelist parish in Lower Makefield.
The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Spring Village at Floral Vale for their tender loving care of Joan for the past six and a half years.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church, Lower Makefield. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton, N.J. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Ave. (River Road), Yardley, PA 19067 and on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Contributions in Joan's memory may be made to St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, N.J.
