HAMILTON - John A. "Jack" Orha, 80, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at home.
Jack was a U.S. Air Force
veteran. He worked for The State of New Jersey as a state safety inspector until he retired in 1999. Jack also had his real estate license and sold life insurance in his earlier years.
He was an avid golfer and loved to spend his free time on the golf course and after he retired he worked on the course part time until 2007. Jack loved to paint, draw and go to Parx Casino. He would always be ready to share a childhood story that everyone loved to hear. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father and friend. Everyone who knew him was always impressed with his beautiful smile and personality that lit the room. Jack was a true family man and his wife, daughter and grandchildren were his world. Jack will leave all his family with loving and cherished memories.
Jack was predeceased by his parents, George Orha and Mary (Mamie) Sabo Orha, his loving and devoted wife, Marie Ortolano Orha, his granddaughter, Sophia Marie Torres, and brothers, Bobby and George Orha.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Jacklyn Orha Groninger; two devoted grandchildren, Lauren and Troy Groninger; sister-in-law, Gloria Orha; cherished friends, Dolly Catana, Jo and Karl Fry and family; and several nieces, nephews and dedicated friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Jack's family on Friday (Jan. 25) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gruerio Funeral Home, 311 Chestnut Ave., Trenton. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
