John W. Fitzpatrick

BORDENTOWN - John W. Fitzpatrick, 70, of Bordentown, formerly of Hamilton, passed away Monday at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton.
Born in Trenton, he was an area resident until moving to Bordentown in 2005. Mr. Fitzpatrick was a laboratory technician with Exxon-Mobil in Hopewell and later Paulsboro until his retirement in 2000. He was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School, class of 1960; a member of the American Legion; an animal lover; an avid fisherman and frequent visitor to Monmouth Park. Mr. Fitzpatrick served in the U.S. Army.
Son of the late Joseph J. and Rose Lombardo Fitzpatrick, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Stanton Fitzpatrick; his son and daughter-in-law, Sean R. and Beth Fitzpatrick of Bordentown; four grandchildren, Devon, Drew, Brynn and Cameron; his aunt, Katherine Lombardo of Pennington; also several cousins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 until 9 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton. Visit for additional information. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ 08505. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton.
