Katharine V. "Kathy" Hamilton

TRENTON - Katharine V. ""Kathy"" Hamilton, 61, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in the loving presence of her family at home.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Hamilton was a lifelong Trenton resident.
She retired in 2006 after 30 years of service with the State of New Jersey, Department of Law and Public Safety, Office of the Attorney General, R.J. Hughes Justice Complex, Trenton.
She was a member and past president of the American Legion, North Trenton, Post 458, Ladies Auxiliary, in addition to her holding various other auxiliary offices and positions. Kathy, also, served as secretary and treasurer of the Ocean Terrace Condo Association in Seaside Park for many years.
She was a former member of the Washington Twp. Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Kathy loved to salt water fish, especially surfside; to hunt, to go on the many trips to Atlantic City and to visit and shop at the many local area and neighborhood yard sales.
Kathy will be missed for her endearing personality and energy by her family and all who knew her.
She was the daughter of the late Charles H. Arnwine and is survived by her beloved husband, John E. ""Jack"" Hamilton; her loving mother, Ruth V. Johnson Arnwine of Groveville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Debbie A. Walker and significant other, Frank Lawton of Robbinsville; Patty A. and Allen C. Riehl of Hamilton Twp.; her brother, Clarence Wiley Jr.; of Hamilton Twp.; two nephews, Allen B. Riehl and Michael C. Riehl both of Hamilton Twp.; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Robert and Nancy Hamiton of Dorchester; her sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Hodanish of Langhorne, Pa.; two nieces, Lisa Hamilton of Ewing Twp. and Carla and husband Charlie Powell of Dorchester; as well as many cousins and numerous friends. Plus her faithful companion, her Japanese Chin. Kasha.
Kathy's family wants to extend their special ""thank you"" to her dedicated home health aide, Emma Harrington and the care and attention given by Princeton Home Care Services.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday (Dec. 10) at 11 a.m. at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. (time of service) at the funeral chapel.
American Legion Auxiliary service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are to be made to the American Legion, North Trenton Post 458; P.O Box 5065, 1438 Brunswick Ave., Trenton, NJ 08638, in Kathy's memory.
