HAMILTON - Leonard C. Muolo, 87, of Hamilton, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 in Mercerville Center, Hamilton Township.
Born in Trenton he was a Hamilton resident for most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy
veteran who had served during World War II
. Leonard retired from the Hamilton Board of Education as head custodian after many years of service. He was a member of St. Raphael/Holy Angels Parish, Evergreen Senior Club, Hamilton Township Senior Center and Robbinsville Senior Center.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gennaro and Carmela (Moffa) Muolo, his wife, Angelina Petrucci Muolo, daughter, Laura Amelia, and siblings, Joseph and Anthony Muolo and Mary Valenza. Leonard is survived by his wife of nine years, Helen Pelles DiCostanzo Muolo; children, Leonard G. and wife Lillian Muolo of Hamilton and Linda and husband Todd Woerner of Hamilton; granddaughter and spouse, Lori Muolo and Peter Martin; stepdaughter and spouse, Arlene and Patrick Zigrand; step grandson and spouse, Jeffrey and Angela Zigrand; step-granddaughter and spouse, Carisa and Carmen Barbato; four step great-grandchildren, Carmen, Christian and Caden Barbato and Olivia Zigrand; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Wednesday (April 9) at 10:30 a.m. from the Gruerio Funeral Home, 311 Chestnut Avenue, Trenton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 3500 S. Broad Street, Hamilton. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Leonard's family Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Gruerio Funeral Home.
