Lorraine Joyce Bridgewater

TRENTON - Lorraine Joyce Bridgewater, age 63, entered into eternal peace on Monday, March 18, 2013. Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Trenton, and was born on May 9, 1949. She was a graduate of Trenton Central High School and studied sociology at Mercer County Community College. She recently retired from the Trenton Housing Authority after 23 years of service and worked for 11 years at the National State Bank. She was a devoted mother, kind, loving and generous to family, friends and countless others.
Daughter of the late John and Willie Mae Bridgewater, sister of the late Gerald, and grandmother of the late Kyle Maurice Bryant Collins. She leaves to mourn her loving memory to be cherished by her sister, Diane Carroll; her daughters, Michele Bridgewater, Melissa Bridgewater and Caryn Bridgewater-Dixon (Daniel); four grandchildren, Jasmine, Zaire, Kyasia and Maya, one great-grandson, Khamari; two nieces, two nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews, two aunts, cousins, a loyal friend, Wanda Dexter, and a host of other friends and co-workers.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the St. Francis Compassionate Care Center for their support in her final days. Funeral service will be at noon Thursday (March 21) at Kingdom Church, 200 Ludlow Drive, Ewing. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
