HAMILTON - Margaret Dawson Bulanowski, 94, passed away peacefully on Sept. 27, 2012, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Trenton, Ontario, Canada, to Elizabeth and James Dawson, Peg resided most of her life in Hamilton Township. She was the third of ten children. A graduate of Hamilton High School, Peg was recognized in the 1936 yearbook, "Retrospice," for attending kindergarten through high school in Hamilton schools without missing a day or being late. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for Thermoid Company, New Jersey Medical Board, Dunham's Department Store, and Congoleum-Nairn, and in retirement enjoyed time spent with husband, Cap, in Florida and Toms River. She was a life member of the New Jersey State Police Former Troopers Association and an officer of the Happy Days Senior Citizen Club of Mercerville for many years. Her greatest joy was being with family.
Peg was the beloved wife of Serafin "Cap" Bulanowski, who predeceased her in October 2010, after 72 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Bulanowski Turner and son-in-law Peter of Lincroft; granddaughter, Elizabeth Turner Cogger and her husband Brian of Lincroft; and great-grandchildren, Katherine and Luke Cogger of Lincroft. She is also survived by sisters, Katerine Moore of Leesburg, Fla. and Betsy Llewellyn of Hamilton Township; and sisters-in-law, Martha Howe and Pauline Dawson, both of Hamilton Township; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Presbyterian funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Garden of Peace Mausoleum, 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
