P. Beatrice Whitehurst

P. Beatrice Whitehurst TRENTON - P. Beatrice Whitehurst 75, of Trenton, passed away at home peacefully on Thursday November 21, 2013. Born on the fourth of July in Greenville, AL, S he came to Trenton, in the mid- 1960s to provide a better life for her family. Beatrice retired after 28 years of service from the Nassau Inn in Princeton. She served as the shop steward for Local 54 and Local 741. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the Mother's and Missionaries' Ministries. Daughter of the late Fletcher and Mable Lee Brown, mother of the late Paul Darryl Whitehurst and sister of the late Mendee Sr. and Wrenderbe. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn McCoy (Robert), Iva McBride (Aula), and Pamela Clark (Stanley); her grandchildren, Clanethia and Anthony Averhart, Akira and Tia Clark; great grandchildren, Devin, Amir, Paul and Najee Averhart, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11am at Friendship Baptist Church 111 Perry St. Trenton, NJ 08618. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday at 9am to 11am at the church. In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contribution to the in her memory.
