Richard E. Armstrong, Sr. ,63, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Capital Health Hospital Hopewell Campus.
Born in Teaneck, Rick was a resident of Pennington for 19 years. He worked for Taylor Oil for 27 years retiring in 2013. Rick was an avid coin collector and enjoyed chess, reading, vegetable gardening, watching Bill O'Reilly and his special pets Charlie, Kandi, Zetta.
Rick is preceded in death by his father James Armstrong, mother-in-law Johanna Pagano, and sister Linda Pinkston. He leaves behind his wife of 24 years; Patricia Armstrong; his mother; Mary Pope; son; Richard Armstrong II; and his girlfriend; Charlotte Buckley; daughters; Keri Armstrong; and her boyfriend; Paul Scott Clark; and grandson; Michael Sean; and Melanie Theis; and her husband Robert. Niece; Marilea and Dominique Pham; and children; Jennifer and Joshua; nephew; William and Isabelle Hannie; and children; Niues and Tiuca; sister; Crystal Dawn Barger; and her husband; Gerald Mason Jr.; and their daughters; Candice (Aaron) Mason Bently; and Amanda (Bake) Mason Shook. Rick is also survived by his father-in-law; Angelo Pagano; sister-in-law; Mary (Liz) Pagano; brother-in-law; Al Pagano; and his wife Barbara; and children Angelo; John; and Gina; Vito Pagano and his wife; Kathy and daughter; Kyle. There are also several extended family; Mary and Donald Hulfish; and children; Krista; Sean; Michael; Kelly and families, Terry Peck and Family Dawn and Amanda Barger; and family, Kathy DuBaque; and family, Ginny and Rick Crutchley; Kathy and Jeff Duncan; and family, Jack and Eyvita Slaza; and family and all those whom have touched his life.
We would like to thank everyone at Capital Health Hopewell for all their care and love with Rick.
A memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Sunda (July 21) at the Cromwell-Immordino Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St, Hopewell, NJ 08525. Calling hours will be from 12-2 p.m. Sunday at the memorial home.
