TRENTON - Sakeya Kathy Brantley, age 31, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2014, in Trenton.
She was born on October 27, 1982, in Atlantic City, and moved to the Trenton area when she was about seven years old where she remained as an adult. Sakeya, a graduate of Lawrence High School, loved her children dearly. She loved to do hair, she loved fashion and was extremely artistic. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.
Sakeya was predeceased by her aunts, Sharon Brantley, Danette Livingston, Alice Lynch and Pamela St. John, and her cousin, Carmen Brantley. Sakeya is survived by her two beautiful children, Ahkeem Hickman Brantley and Kiyah Hickmond Brantley; her mother, Deborah Brantley; her sisters, Tawana Brantley and Pamela Wray Brantley; her nieces, Germaijah Brooks and Laresse Blamo Brantley; her nephews, Brandon Brantley and Lawrence and Noah Blamo Brantley; her favorite aunt, Kathy Brantley; her cousins, Brandi, Samone, Unika and Shanise Brantley, Troy, Dominique and Daneisha Livingston, and Tameka Murphy; her special loves, Ahkeem Hickman and Quashaun Hickmond; her best friends, Lillian Thompson, Stacie McEachern, Alexis Hickman and Tiffney Jones; and a host of extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, May 7, at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Interment Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton.
