Thelma Ruth Greenfield, 91, formerly of Bordentown, resided at Morris Hall's Saint Joseph facility until she peacefully went home with the Lord on Sunday morning, July 14, 2013.
Born in the City of Burlington, Thelma was reared and educated in city of Burlington. Thelma was employed as a Clerk for the NJ Div. of Motor Vehicles. In 1978, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and dedicated the remaining years of her life encouraging others to accept Jesus through initiatives such as the Fountain of Life Bus Ministries.
Predeceased her former husband James Greenfield Sr., and their infant twin son, James "Peanut" Greenfield Jr., by her parents, William & Rhymie Young and four siblings. Thelma is survived by two daughters; Janet (James) Ware; of San Diego, CA and Sara (Les) Summiel; of Ewing; two sons; Howard (Happiness) Greenfield; of Bordentown, and David (Shirley) Greenfield; of Florence; two special daughters-in-law; Janice Greenfield; of Bordentown and Donna Greenfield; of Lakewood; a sister-in-law; Ella Young; of Tinton Falls; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life Services will be Friday (July 19) at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 2015 Pennington Road, Ewing NJ. Interment will be in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville, NJ. Calling hours will be 9-11 a.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
