Vernon Hamilton Fitzroy Melville Sr.

LAWRENCE - Vernon Hamilton Fitzroy Melville Sr., age 88, passed away September 6, 2013, at home.
Born in Trininad, Port of Spain, West Indies, he had resided in Trenton for more than 40 years until recently moving to Lawrenceville. He was a graduate of the University of Trinidad, Port of Spain. Mr. Melville was employed by National Sponge Rubber Co. where he was president of the union. He was a longtime member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
Son of the late Franrica and Edward Melville, and brother of the late Alma Mitchell, Mr. Melville is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annie B. Melville; sons, Vernon, Randy and Edward; daughter, Annie R. Mansur; three daughters-in-law, Pam, Lael and Donna Melville; son-in-law, Ahmad Mansur; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, godson, Michael Davis; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday September 10, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 140 N. Warren St., Trenton. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment Ewing Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
