Vincent N. Palmere, 90, of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, at Merwick Rehabilitation Hospital in Plainsboro.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Vincent was an honorably discharged Army
veteran Staff Sergeant who served during World War II
. He was a Bookkeeper for Mercer Motor Freight in Trenton and retired after 35 years of service. He then worked for another 15 years with Hamilton Township Recreation Department at Veteran's Park. He was a member of St. Anthony's RC Church in Trenton and the Hamilton Elks.
His greatest joy was coaching and watching his children and grandchildren play sports, but above all he had a devoted love for his family.
Predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Catarina (Cordaro) Palmere, his wife, Gloria P. (Pone) Palmere, and his son, Vincent N. Palmere, Jr., his brother, Joseph Palmere, he is survived by his son; James S. Palmere and his wife; Cori; his three daughters; Catherine and her husband; Todd Davies; Michele and her husband; Brian Moynihan; and Nancy Palmere; and her partner; John Mucha; five grandchildren; Matthew Davies; Harrison; Connor and Brianna Moynihan; and Brandon Palmere; his sisters; Phyllis Spych and Ann DeAngelo; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Vivian and Louis Giovannetti; his sister-in-law; Teddy Napolitano; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m., on Tuesday (Nov. 20) at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., at St Anthony's RC Church, 6269 S. Olden Avenue, Trenton.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, at the Saul Colonial Home.
