William Cox, 57, of Trenton followed his angel to peace on June 8, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Born in Trenton, "Bud", as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a lifelong resident of the area. He was educated in the Trenton Public School System and worked for the Department of Labor and Industry for over 30 years. William was a member of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church, where he served on the Senior Usher Board. William will be truly missed by family and friends.
William was predeceased by his mother, Mamie Loyd Cox, three brothers, Clayton Cox, Jr., David Lee Cox, and Daniel Lee Cox. Surviving are his loving son; William "Doc" Chew; his caring father; Clayton Cox, Sr.; both of Trenton; three handsome grandchildren; Dahquah'n; Dahvae; and Dahmyr Chew; all of Ewing; four beautiful sisters; Essie Stackhouse (Timothy); Carol Cox; Joan Cox Keith; and Cecelia Jones; all of Trenton; a faithful and loving friend; Theresa Elam; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be Monday (June 17) at 1 p.m. at Wayne Avenue Baptist Church 30 Wayne Avenue Trenton, NJ. Calling hour will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
