Rose Walker Obituary

PLAINSBORO - Rose Lydia Alexander Walker, 56, died on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at home.
Born in Creswell, N.C. she graduated from Creswell High School. She later moved to Trenton where she resided for more than 30 years before relocating to Plainsboro five years ago. She had been employed as lead supervisor at Davlyn Industries of Cranbury for more than 20 years.
Mrs. Walker was previously a member of St. John Baptist Church of Creswell.
She was predeceased by her parents, the Rev. Edgar and Earnestine Alexander and two brothers, Earl and Tommie Alexander. She is survived by her husband, Cornell Sherman Walker of Plainsboro; her daughter and son, Chaunice Alexander of Plainsboro and Kendall Alexander of Trenton; two grandchildren, Janique and Arianna Alexander; nine brothers, Edgar Alexander Jr. (Mary Liz) of Augusta, Ga., James Alexander (Willie Faye) and David Alexander (Rosa), both of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Ernest Alexander (Murtis Faye) of Trenton, Johnnie Alexander (Barbara) of Snellville, Ga., Joseph Alexander of Creswell, Calvin Alexander (Lorraine) of Loganville, Ga., Melvin Alexander (Theresa) of Hampton, Va. and Roger Alexander (Brenda) of Williamston, N.C.; two sisters, Earnestine Spruill of Plymouth, N.C. and Beulah Bryant (Fred) of Hamilton; two stepchildren, Crystal Grosslin (Mike) of Houston, Texas and Carl Walker (Tee) of Hamilton Township; her mother-in-law, Ruth Williams (Jesse) of Dover, Del.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Galilee Baptist Church, 440 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The Rev. Dr. John H. Harris, pastor, will officiate. Calling hours are from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing Township.
Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service.
