EWING - Dr. Beatrice Chigozie Inyama, 44, departed this life on Monday, June 24, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Washington, D.C., Beatrice attended the Incarnation Catholic School in Ewing and Stuart Country Day School in Princeton. She received her bachelor's degree in biology from Harvard University, an MPH from UMDNJ and her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Beatrice practiced in Ohio and Pennsylvania and was on the staff of Emergency Health Resources in Media, Pa.
Beatrice was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who was an active member of the Nigerian community and Incarnation-St. James Catholic Church, Ewing. She was a member of the AKA Sorority, Chokoneze Improvement Union and former vice president of the Amumara Indigens, USA. She was adored by friends and family and brought joy to those around her. She will be remembered by the lives she touched both personally and professionally, as well as the leadership example she set.
She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Stephen Uneze Chukumba and is survived by her husband, Premier Israel; two children, Iheanyichi and Fechi; her mother, Bridget Nenne Chukumba; four brothers, Stephen, Anthony, Celestine and Justin Chukumba; brothers in-law, Eze Inyama and Sampson Inyama; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Although taken from us too soon, we are very grateful to have had her in our lives. She will be sorely missed. We love you, but God loves you most!
Wake services will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, July 12, at Lawrenceville Armory, 151 Eggerts Crossing Road, Lawrenceville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 11:30 a.m. at Incarnation-St. James Catholic Church, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service.
