Kenneth A. Wilno, 92, of Mercerville, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a Hamilton Township resident for 60 years. Ken was an honorably discharged Navy veteran of
World War II
. He served as Petty Officer First Class on the USS Madison DD425 and in the Atlantic and Pacific Theater of War. Ken also served on LST 576 and LST 1029 handling ships in the Pacific Theater of War. He was a member of
3525 and Am Vets 1776.
Ken was a mechanical contractor for the John Carr Co. of Trenton. He retired 37 years ago after many years of service.
Predeceased by his wife, Helen M. Wilno. Ken is survived by his daughter, Peggy Patterson; his sister, Mary Harkins and his grandsons, Robert and Ryan.
Funeral services are private under the direction of Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
