FALLS - Laurence E. "Larry" Vogt died at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, April 7, 2013. He was 66.|
Born in the Logan section of Philadelphia, the son of the now late Edward and Cecilia (Lagocki) Vogt, he moved to Trevose, Pa. at the age of 10. He had been a resident of Falls Township, Pa., for the past 25 years.
Mr. Vogt was a graduate of Bensalem High School, class of 1965. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
Until the closing of the former 3M Company in Bristol Township, Pa., Mr. Vogt was employed as an electrician for 25 years. He later worked with Capital Health Systems in Trenton, N.J. until his retirement in May, 2012.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at the lake with his family, and faithful companions, his dogs, Mia and Jax.
Beloved husband of 26 years to Donna R. (Cochran), Mr. Vogt is the loving father of Tracey, Ryan both of Levittown, Pa., Melissa of Horsham, Pa., Laurence, Jr. (Jennifer) of Levittown, Pa.,and Victoria Milone (John) of Horsham, Pa. He is the devoted grandfather of Laurence III, Carter and Jacob; and the brother of Sheila Graf (Bill) of Bensalem, Pa., Edward (Wendy) of Trevose, Pa. and Fran (Karen) of Bensalem, Pa. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pa., where his funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
