Alice Neal Curry Obituary
TRENTON - Alice Neal Curry, 85, of Trenton, departed this life on January 22, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Chatham, Va., Mrs. Curry was educated in the Asbury Park school system. For many years she was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, Elizabeth Chapter. Before her illness she had attended the Mount Zion A.M.E. Church.
Alice was a volunteer for L.I.F.T under the late Miss Alma Hill. She was employed at the Skillman Institute, Aberdeen Sportswear, Trenton Sportswear, VNA the Visiting Nursing Association and the Pregnancy Connection, Trenton chapter out of Mercer Medical Center.
She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew Curry, her father, Clarence Saunders, three brothers, Billy Berkley, (Buddy) Wilbert Keith Saunders, and Clarence Saunders Jr.
Surviving are her mother, Elsie Saunders; her six sons, Robert of Trenton, Michael of Bethlehem, Pa., David of Trenton, Lawrence of Willingboro, Kenneth E. of Stroudsburg, Pa. and Paxton A. (Tony) of Ewing; her siblings, Lois James, W. Frances Cunningham, Barbara A. Marshall, Nancy L. Syphax and Aza H. Williams, all of Trenton, Paulette Saunders and Wilbur Glover of Adelphi, Md., Rosemarie Lane of Fort Pierce, Fla. and Charles N. Saunders of Stuart, Fla.; 19 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton, N.J. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the chapel.
