Ann E. Parsons WHITING - Ann E. Parsons, 92, of Whiting passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Vineland, she moved to Yardley, PA in 1940, then settled in Lawrence Township, NJ where she lived for 45 years before moving to Whiting, NJ. Ann taught mathematics at Morrisville High School for 34 years. She fought to bring girls' interscholastic sports to the high school where she coached field hockey, basketball and softball. Her dedication to coaching earned her an induction into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. The Morrisville Girls Athletic Club annually presents the "Ann Parsons Scholar Athlete Award" to a deserving senior at the high school. Ann enjoyed playing bridge with friends every Thursday and was a member of the Oxford Valley and Princeton ladies golf groups. She was an avid reader and volunteered at the Lawrence Township library. Predeceased by her parents, William C. and Helen (Doty) Parsons; her brother, Robert F. Parsons and her half-brother, Clarence Parsons, she is survived by her nephew, Robert C. Parsons of Hamilton, and her niece, Donna Walsh, of Bratenahl, OH. Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 10:30-11:30am at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the .
