She was born in Jenkin Jones, West Virginia. She was the ninth of 10 children.
"Bea," as she was affectionately known, was reared and educated in the West Virginia school system and also attended some college courses. She accepted Christ as her Saviour at a very young age.
Beatrice was married to the late David Kellum Jr. Bea was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Burlington until her health failed. She was employed by the State of New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts and gave 38 years of dedicated service.
Beatrice leaves to cherish her memory her son, Wayne, her daughter, Renee, her son, Gregory (Tina) and her son, Mark (fiancée, Fabiana); six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. "Bea" was also held dear by her special relatives, Earline Jones, Linda Neal, Phyllis Reynolds, Barbara Phillips, Carol Plummer, Judy Crawley and Thelma Phillips. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held, Friday, April 13, 2012 , at 11 a.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 150 E. Second Street, Burlington. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment: BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation. Arrangement by WR Woody Funeral Home, Burlington.
