ROBBINSVILLE - Carl Alvin Hohmann, 76, of Robbinsville, passed away early Friday morning, March 22, 2013, at his home.
Born and raised in Trenton, Carl settled in Robbinsville in 1990. Carl worked in the steel industry the majority of his life. He specialized in detailed steel fabrication while employed by Dinger Brothers Steel Company, Trenton. Carl was a longtime member of Lutheran Brotherhood where he helped in the building of the Luther Arms in Trenton and Moorestown Lutheran Nursing Home. In his later years he enjoyed working at the Friendly's Ice Cream Restaurant in Robbinsville.
Carl was a former longtime leader of Boy Scout Troop No.79 of Robbinsville. He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church of Hamilton Square and the Elks Lodge of Robbinsville. Favorite hobbies of Carl's were baking for his family, friends and co-workers, coin collecting and gardening.
Predeceased by his parents, Franklin and Bertha (Liick) Hohmann, he is survived by his loving wife, Esther (Klotz) Hohmann; his son, Carl L. Wm. Hohmann; his beloved grand-dog, Allegra Grace; his sister, Betty Cook; his brother, Franklin Hohmann; and his many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held privately at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
