Obituary Condolences

HAMILTON - Carmen J. Alessi, 75, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Pittston, Pa. on Jan. 26, 1937, he moved to Trenton at the age of four and moved to Hamilton where he resided until the present time.
He graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1954 and he served proudly in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1958. He was a Master Plumber in the State of New Jersey and he operated a successful plumbing and heating business for over 40 years.
Carmen was known for his carefree, jovial lifestyle and was loved by all who knew him. You could always find him with his buddies at Fred & Pete's Deli. He cherished the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Buddy Rich, and in his younger days he was a talented drummer. He also enjoyed sports such as golf, baseball and he was an avid Eagles fan.
He was a member of the Baron Athletic Association, and the Italian American Sportsmen Club where he played cards and told various jokes and stories with friends. He was quick witted, quick to laugh and loved to play jokes on people. He especially cherished and loved spending time with all of his grandchildren. God has a special place in heaven for Carmen who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Son of the late Joseph and Tina Alessi. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Madeline ( Madge) Alessi; his daughters, Donna Fuccello and husband Jim, Tina Alessi, Maryanne Lowrie and husband Robert, and Dena Frascella and husband Rich; his sister Theresa Lucherini and husband Richard; grandchildren, Carma Leigh and Candice Fuccello, Shawnna and Devon Young, Julianne and Danny Frascella, and Emily and Olivia Lowrie; sister-in-law and spouse Anne and Bill Dobson; brother-in-law Joe Bonelli; a special nephew, Richard C. Lucherini and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be held at 10:15 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 3) from the Gruerio Funeral Home, 311 Chestnut Ave., Trenton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State Street Extension, Mercerville. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Carmen's family on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45-10:15 a.m. at the Gruerio Funeral Home.
