Cecilia A. Moran

Obituary Condolences

Cecilia A. Moran passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 3, 2012 at the Arden Courts of Yardley with her loving family by her side. Born in Edinburg Scotland, she moved the U.S. in 1956 residing in Trenton; where she met the love of her life Daniel J. Moran at the Catholic Young Adult Club (CYAC). They were married in 1958 and she resided in Bordentown until her passing. Cecilia was employed as a secretary for The Divine Word Missionaries located in Bordentown from 1966 to 1976. In 1976 she became the Supervisor of Secretarial Services for the Office of Legislative Services located in Trenton. She retired in 1993 after 16 years of dedicated service.
As a faithful parishioner of St. Mary's Church, she was instrumental in starting the food pantry. But her greatest joy in life was being with her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, caring friend and will be missed greatly.
She was the daughter of the late James and Cecilia Flynn, she is predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Daniel J. Moran and her best friend, Maryann Alfano. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Daniel Moran and Mary Dunn; Kevin and Kerry Moran; her grandchildren; Sean; Caitlin; Erin; Darren and Patrick Moran; Colleen and husband David Heath; Sarah and husband Rick Austin; Elizabeth and Mary Leszczuk; her great-grandson; Grayson Moran; her sisters; Kathleen Chuda; Mary Allan and brother Charles Flynn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday (Oct. 8) at 11 a.m. at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505. Guests may pay their respects to the family on Sunday evening from to 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday morning 8:30 to 9:30 .a.m. at the funeral home. At the families request interment will be private. Memorial Donations may be made in Cecilia's name to the St. Mary's food pantry, 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown NJ 08505.
